All About Files

Since we are working with all kinds of files, here are the answers for most common questions that we have gathered during last few months.

How much space do I have?

Fliiby uses Dynamic Storage model to calculate your storage space consumption and need. We all start as something small, little as 2 GB per account.

For each your file that is approved to be public you will receive extra 2x space of that file size.

Example, your initial space is 2.0 GB. You upload file of 500 MB (0.5GB). If this file is approved to be public, you will be rewarded with additional 1GB. So you will end up with total of 3.0 GB space.

Simply saying you can have as much space as you need, as long as you use it to provide quality and original content. You can check your storage by visiting Settings page.

What is file size limit?

File size limit is set to 2000 MB per file (5 GB for Fliiby Plus+ users).

How long will Fliiby store my file?

We do not remove users files. Your file may only be removed in cases when it violates our term of conditions or somebodies else’s rights (e.g., copyright).

What file types (extensions) Fliiby accepts?

All file types and extensions are supported for upload and download.

What are the privacy settings of my files?

Your file can be either private or public:

Private (accessible only by you);
Public (accessible by everybody).

Files (set to “Public” privacy state) are subject to file checking mechanism as they show in our search and browse pages. We have a small number of employees who must be able to access user data for the reasons stated in our privacy policy (e.g., when legally required to do so).

How do I know if my file is public or private?

You can check icon in the left bottom corner of your file by hovering over it to see what icon is displayed. If you see “globe” icon then your file is public and if you see “padlock” icon then your file is private.
